A few months ago I realised we had a big problem.
Just after we opened applications for Bootcamp 3 I was looking over the number of people applying and saw demand was growing incredibly quickly. In many businesses this would be great news, but it actually made me really sad because I realised we were going to have to turn away hundreds of excellent campaigners who would be great members of the Bootcamp community.
Since then we've been making plans to run lots more Bootcamps and today I'm really excited to share some good news - UnLtd are going to help us out. They've just announced that they've given us a place on their “Big Venture Challenge”. This means we're going to get expert support for 12 months to figure out how we can make Bootcamp bigger and better.
This is a huge honour for us - over 450 social ventures applied and I’m so excited we made it to the final 40. Yay! I'm particularly excited that they're going to help us with the nitty gritty stuff of how you actually build a successful non-profit by answering questions like: how do we increase the number of Bootcamps without messing everything up? How do we get better at fundraising? How do we measure our impact so we can be sure we're actually making a difference?
As well as all that we’ll get to meet and learn from the 39 other BVC winners, who are awesome, you can check them out there: https://unltd.org.uk/bvc/bvc-winners-2015/ and here they all are:
Huge thank you to the UnLtd team for giving us this chance.
