I have some exciting news, thanks to a one off donation we’re able to re-launch the Campaign Bootcamp scholarship for people who have experience of mental health problems and want to campaign around mental health.
Back in March we teamed up with Mind to launch the scholarship We were overwhelmed by the high demand so launched a crowdfunder to allow more people to come on the scholarship. Since then we’ve been working hard to find more funding for the scholarship. It hasn’t been easy.
But today is a great day, thanks to this donation two mental health activists are going to be able to come on Bootcamp 5. To apply for the scholarship you just need to go here: http://www.campaignbootcamp.org/apply and apply by 0900 GMT on Monday the 17th of August.
Mental health is such an important issue, and all too often it’s brushed under the carpet. Managing mental health is something I’m proud to say I’ve wrestled with, and I hope that this scholarship will play a small part in helping to reduce stigma and increase mental health services.
This is just a one off scholarship, so we’re not able to say if it’ll continue in to 2016. What I can say is we’re working hard to find more funding, so we can train even more activists who want to work on mental health issues. If you'd like to support the scholarship you can make a secure donation here.
For now, if you know any campaigners who want to work on mental health issues please encourage them to apply at http://www.campaignbootcamp.org/apply
