It's vital to me that environmental activists are included in the Campaign Bootcamp cohort.
Before working at Campaign Bootcamp, I came on the training last year, and I'll be honest with you, environmental campaigning wasn't really my bag and I was sceptical of the activists moving in those spheres.
By the time I finished bootcamp however, my attitude had changed - the interconnectedness of social justice with the environmental movement really brought the issue to life for me, and that's all down to the passionate campaigners on my cohort.
We need more people who can change the hearts and minds of cynics such as myself in the face of environmental crisis and that's why I'm grateful Campaign Bootcamp is committed to this kind of activism.
I also know that a lot of green activists are running their campaigns on a shoe-string, so we have set aside money from Greenpeace specifically to fund these places on bootcamp.
If you're a grassroots campaigner the scholarships can cover the full fee of coming on Bootcamp (£3000) and if you work at an NGO there are partial scholarships available to cover some of the costs of coming.
If you're successful in getting a scholarship you'll get access to the full year long Campaign Bootcamp programme. It starts with a week of intensive training where you'll learn the key skills needed to make change in the modern age. The syllabus includes planning a campaign, working with the media, fundraising, choosing your tactics, building websites, coding and much more! After the residential is over you'll get a year of mentorship, training days and community support.
