Job Opportunity: Project Manager, 25th Anniversary of the Web

This was shared with us so we wanted to pass it on. It’s an exciting opportunity to work with the Web Foundation.
2014 marks 25 years since Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the Web, and we’re planning an exciting worldwide programme of activities built around the 25th birthday.
A new funder has just offered significant additional resources to scale up the campaign, so we’re looking to fill 2 consultancy roles super fast (potentially, they could both be done by one and the same person).
  • A really sharp campaign strategist who can run an inspiring but tight planning meeting with our coalition partners on the 22 Feb in London and can also help us turn the meeting outcomes into a military grade timeline, plan and budget that will knock our new funder’s socks off (2 to 4 weeks work). To be clear, this is not an advisory role but a get-stuck-into-it role.
  • An experienced project manager, most likely with a fundraising/marketing/communications background, who can support our global campaign lead to deliver the plan and orchestrate the many partners around the world who want to be part of the 25th celebrations. This is 6 to 12 months work on a 3 to 5 day a week basis with a very strong preference for London based candidates.
