About you

You’re passionate about working with people to tackle injustice. You believe that training and education should be done in a way that breaks down barriers and supports people on the margins to campaign on issues that affect them. You believe campaigning needs to go beyond the usual suspects and believe in the power of communities to know best when it comes to decisions affecting their lives.

You are a competent writer with a high level of written English, who understands how language is important in creating and/or breaking down barriers to people accessing a learning resource.  You'll be highly organised, enjoy working independently and be able to work to deadlines.

You may have done some campaigning, though this is not essential. It is useful if you have a basic idea of campaign strategy and skills but a high level is not necessary. More important is your ability to turn complex ideas into accessible written resources.

The details

  • You will need to provide your own laptop, phone and any other equipment you require.
  • You’ll be responsible for your tax and national insurance contributions.
  • You will need to be available for some meetings in office hours (these can be done online) but you do not need to be able to keep strict office hours.
  • You can be based anywhere.
